Our Offer to Artists
PurpleDoor offer a range of tailored artist development alongside our usual programmes. We have a proud history of supporting actors through 1-2-1 career support, monologue tuition, showreel filming / editing and more. The people we have worked with have gone on to study at drama schools including RADA, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Bristol Old Vic. Alumni from our Young Actors Company are regulars at Shakespeare North and Liverpool's Royal Court, with some recently appearing in the National Theatre / UK Tour of Boys from the Blackstuff. Members from our Creative Development Group are now appearing in the West End production of The Importance of Being Earnest alongside Stephen Fry, and Jade Frank's Eat the Rich (But Maybe Not Me Mates).
More than just a show.
Monologue tuition is provided by our director, Karl Falconer, who has over fifteen years of working to champion undiscovered talent from across the North West Region. Karl's work with Shakespeare helps you to unlock his work and find passion, presence and integrity in speaking his work. Karl can work with you to find monologues that work for you, to give feedback on your existing work, or to work with you to prep for that all important audition.
